Oh. My. God.
Amare played one of the best basketball games I've ever seen. His "STAT" line (no pun intended) was simply amazing.
51 points. 17/21 shooting. 15/15 free throws. 11 rebounds. 6 assists. 5 steals. 2 blocks. Only 3 fouls.
Damn.
What impressed me the most was his court awareness. I've never seen Amare rotate the way he did tonight on defense and anticipate the pass. I've never seen him be so savvy on offense; knowing when to pass, when to shoot, and when to slow it down. I've never seen him make such a consientious effort on the glass and being so aggressive on the boards. Simply amazing.
He single-handedly carried the Suns to victory tonight. Not that everyone else had a horrible game, it was more that Amare had that good of a game.
You'll see some amazing Amare plays below, but the highlight for me was his acting job against Travis Diener. It happened after Amare completely abused Jeff Foster in the post (dunk below). Amare banged his chest in excitement and accidentally ran into Diener. Diener gave him a quick shove and Amare basically jumped into the camera crew.
He smiled the whole time.
I love the Suns.

Incredible game. While I was watching the Bulls on espn, they mentioned his stats and I thought I heard it wrong. Ridiculous.
I randomly did a live-blog for this game tonight. Turned out to be a pretty good idea. It's nothing amazing, but gives a decent recap of maybe the most efficiently dominating game I've ever seen. Did he even miss in the first half? Nuts.

Wow.
Shaq has really matured into the role of facilitator for Amaré this season and I think it has helped a lot. Shaq might not have played much of a role in this game, but in general, it's a great combo.
I really believe the Suns can do well this season, particularly with Porter at the helm. He's the right type of coach for this squad.

A Stern Warning
Sometimes players get in "the zone" where they just don't miss a shot. Just like Kobe when he scored 84 points in a game.
Amare was awesome and I hope he can keep up the high level of play year long.
My condolences go out to Jeff Foster’s family; at least he went out playing the game he loved.
